The Longest Table: Oakwood's Biggest Block Party

The following announcement appeared in the Oakwood Register on May 20, 2026.

Oakwood's biggest block party is here, and the whole town is invited! The Longest Table is a free community potluck dinner where people come together for a shared meal and conversation. The Oakwood Inclusion Coalition will set up the tables and chairs; all you need to do is come with your families, friends, and food to share. 

On Thursday, June 4 from 5:30-7:30pm, please join us on E. Schantz Ave. between Dellwood and Spirea (between Oakwood High School and Mack Hummon Stadium). Join a table with neighbors you haven't met - or gather around the children's area - as strangers become friends and neighbors become family.
