Discussion/Updates
Hale informed that application has been made to Dayton Foundation for a fund
Fulford is preparing for MLK march by making banners and yard signs and will cover expenses. Jackson and Furmanski will send out a communication to membership, and Jackson will interview Cook for a piece in the Oakwood Register. Ramey will get it on the school announcements and share with Visible & Resilient school club.
DP&L Foundation turned down request for donation. Klopsch will scan and email the leadership team.
Big Read Update – Very few people attended the last two Big Read discussions. There will be one additional discussion on January 25th at 7PM.
Strategic Planning
Hollingsworth reviewed process from the December 7th , 2021 meeting and reviewed results of homework assignment. Discussion was held to help group identify and clarify the OIC’s mission and organizational purpose - what will the OIC do in and for the community, and for what purpose.
