Madeline Iseli, a mixed-race first generation American, has lived in Oakwood for 23 years, having grown up in the Five Oaks and Dayton View neighborhoods of the City of Dayton. Moving to Oakwood to raise her three sons was one of the best life decisions her family made, what with the excellent schools, walkable neighborhoods, and what she and her family have found to be an increasingly inclusive and supportive environment. Through the work of the OIC, Madeline hopes to find ways for the Oakwood community to come together in a spirit of civic engagement and mutual respect to develop a shared vision for the future growth and prosperity of Oakwood and its residents in an increasingly diverse and complex world.
