Join Dayton Metro Library for an exclusive evening with Dorian Rhea Debussy, author of the brand-new book: The Lavender Bans: A Century of Anti-LGBTQ+ Policies in the US Military (Columbia University Press, 2026). From World War I to modern day, The Lavender Bans uncovers the history of the United States military's policies against LGBTQ people.


Dorian Rhea Debussy is the director of external affairs at Equitas Health. A nationally recognized expert in LGBTQ+ politics, she specializes in healthcare and defense policy. Debussy is a lecturer in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at the Ohio State University.
