"Peace vs. Justice" Debate

At its core, tension between peace and justice exists because the immediate conditions required to achieve peace are frequently at odds with the actions required to achieve absolute justice. To achieve absolute justice is to seek fair outcomes for everyone, occasionally requiring structural inequalities to be addressed so that all individuals have their specific needs met.
